Meet Lihem Russom, a 25-year-old Eritrean American with a powerful story rooted in tradition and resilience. As a first-generation Eritrean, Lihem's journey is deeply intertwined with her family's escape from the 30-year war with Ethiopia, marking her as a beacon of hope and pride for her community.

With Eritrea's independence spanning only 26 years, Lihem understands the rarity of her origin and story, embracing it with intense pride and purpose. She sees her life as a deliberate path, representing the aspirations of every Eritrean striving for freedom and opportunity.

Despite traditional pressures, Lihem charted her own course, beginning her academic journey at UCLA. Graduating with double degrees in Sociology and African American Studies, she defied familial expectations of a STEM career, driven by her passion for understanding human behavior and societal dynamics.

After a stint in the tech industry, where she sought fulfillment through her parents' approval, Lihem found solace and passion in the arts and fashion. Experimenting with photography, creative direction, and modeling, she embarked on a mission to redefine beauty standards and empower her community.

Modeling, often frowned upon in her culture, became Lihem's platform for change, inspiring others to pursue their dreams unapologetically. Her diverse background in dance and athletics instilled in her a love for competition and discipline, driving her relentless pursuit of success.
